Mobilizing our communities to divest from genocide and apartheid.

It has been nearly 3 years since the current Israeli genocide in Gaza ignited. Since then, we have borne witness to the ongoing massacres in Gaza and escalating settler violence and ethnic cleansing in the West Bank on our phones and television screens. Our communities are at a critical moment for action and movement-building.

This conference is a collaborative effort by movement organizers across the country and hosted locally by the Guelph 4 Palestine Coalition. As people opposed to the mass slaughter of Indigenous peoples in Gaza and across the world, we must ensure our work is as effective as possible. For this reason, the program has been intentionally curated to meet the moment - to uplift and learn from the strategies that are actually working and creating material change. We will also draw connections between struggles so we can build an unbreakable bond of solidarity across communities.

During the conference, we will host topics ranging from past movement lessons and current national strategies to divest from Israel, implement an arms embargo, and more.

Location

All venues are in downtown Guelph. A full schedule with venues will be available closer to the date.

Registration information

Registration is available at a sliding scale. As a completely grassroots initiative, we ask that people pay what they can to help us cover costs. All extra funds will be donated directly to people in Gaza.

Children must register. Kids' programming is available for those 3 and up. Younger children are welcome to attend the kids' track with a parent or guardian.

Fundraising Dinner

The evening will end with a beautifully curated dinner from chef Layla Saleh. The meal is vegetarian and will feature dishes hailing from Southern Lebanon.

AMERICAN DOCTOR is a vérité non-fiction film following three prominent physicians--Palestinian, Jewish and Zoroastrian--friends who couldn't be more different but are bound by their shared oath to save lives. Dr. Thaer Ahmad is measured and strategic, Dr. Mark Perlmutter is blunt and wears his heart on his sleeve, and Dr. Feroze Sidhwa is media-savvy and prolific. Filmed in unfolding, on-the-ground scenes, the story follows them from a Gazan hospital under siege, to the halls of Congress. Together they fight to keep a promise to their Palestinian colleagues and patients, to continue the struggle where it matters most: the United States.

Dr. Dorotea Gucciardo, director of development for Glia, the London, ON, organization that our fundraiser is benefiting which organizes medical missions to Gaza.

Dr. Anas Al-Kassem, vice-chairman of the Union of Medical Care and Relief Organizations Canada, which also organizes medical missions to Gaza, and a trauma and bariatric surgeon living in Hamilton.

Across Gaza, Palestinian healthcare workers continue to care for their communities under unimaginable conditions. Together with Alana Hadid and Tommy Marcus, we're raising $30,000 USD to fund one month of Glia's Complex Wound Care Services at Nasser Hospital. Every donation helps restore care where it is needed most. This initiative is part of Glia's broader Restoring Care Campaign.

Join the community for the Run For Palestine 2026, taking place on Sunday, September 13th at Greenway Park, London, ON. This run brings runners, walkers, and families together to raise awareness and support for Palestine while promoting health, unity, and solidarity through movement.

New this year: every participant is a winner. We're moving away from only recognizing top finishers. Every runner who receives a t-shirt will also receive a commemorative medal, just like in a traditional marathon.
